AMALFI COAST
The Amalfi Coast is the epitome of a European summer. From scootering down the coast in a Vespa to jumping off rocks in Capri and drinking all of the Aperol spritzes that your body can handle, it’s the perfect place to enjoy a summer getaway.
THE BASICS
When to go
Summer! While it gets busy (and therefore more expensive) in the peak summer months of June through August, that’s also when the best weather is, and it’s worth the surge pricing. If you want to opt for fewer crowds and still warm weather, check it out in May or September instead.
What to do
- Rent a Scooter: Zipping up and down the coast on a scooter is by far the best mode of transportation, and it gives you freedom to check out sites that you wouldn’t have otherwise found.
- Visit Capri: Off the coast is the island of Capri, which is a luxurious getaway full of high-end shopping, beautiful views, and stunning cliffsides.
- Do a Boat Tour: Go on a full-day boat tour of the coast, complete with stops in some of the towns and swimming holes, to get to see a different view of the coast.
