I’m Natasha, a 27-year-old living in Manhattan and constantly itching to get out. When I’m not working from home in my tiny West Village apartment or wasting away time with friends at an East Village bar, I’m researching travel destinations and booking my next trip abroad. I created Exploring Elsewhere to help those like me who are looking for ways to leverage their minimal vacation days and low-tier salary on adventurous trips to exotic places. Better yet, most of my travels are done solo, and I’m here to show you how to become your most empowered self as a single female traveling in a far-off land.
My obsession (let’s just face it at this point, it’s an obsession) with travel started junior year of high school when I traveled to Spain on a class trip, simultaneously experiencing my first all-around trip, as well as my first solo trip, abroad. From there, I prioritized travel through college study abroad in Hungary, various spring break trips including those to Mexico and Argentina, and a culminating two-month solo trip throughout Southeast Asia before beginning my career in New York City. Now, I’m notorious for using every single one of my vacation days on trips abroad, whether solo or with friends, and I built Exploring Elsewhere to inspire other women like me to do the same.
