SOUTH AMERICA
THE BASICS
South America was made for the adventurous. Ranging from north of the equator all the way down to the arctic, South America is one of the most biodiverse places on earth and perfect for those looking to explore something off the beaten path.
When to go
South America hovers over the equator, making it a viable option almost all year round. I personally went in both November and April and found little difference in the weather between the two. However, you’ll start to see a more drastic change in temperature as you head south toward the arctic, so be sure to plan accordingly depending on which country you’re exploring.
What to do
- Hiking: Be sure to pack your hiking boots for your trip — across all of South America are hikes to waterfalls, UNESCO heritage sites, and rainforests that will blow your mind.
- Scale a Waterfall: I said South America was for the adventurous, right? Throughout South America, you can find thousands of waterfalls, big and small. Want a unique view of them? Scale them with a tour!
